Research shows that reading proficiency increases with the amount of time spent reading voluntarily. By giving children access to a variety of books at their reading level, you invite them to read independently for pleasure, information, and exploration. Children learn how to read in school, but you can support them after school by offering books that encourage them to put reading into practice in their free time.
The AfterSchool KidzBooks sets were designed to be appealing and engaging to kids who are ready for some fun and relaxation after the school day. These high-interest, inviting collections of children’s books for grades K–6 are perfect for independent reading, for reading aloud, for kids reading together, and to extend your AfterSchool KidzLit experience.
